EVENT RECAP - 2016 Midwest Sand Sports and Off Road Expo

Mar 27th 2023

The 1st Annual Midwest Sand Sports and Off Road Expo took place this weekend in Oklahoma and GenRight was there to support this inaugural event. Jami Pellegrio, son of GenRight, Tony Pellegrino, trailered the legendary GenRight Jeep Wrangler Terremoto all the way from Southern California out to Oklahoma City. Tony and few more of members of the GenRight Trail Team flew in for the show.

The rig was hosted in the booth of Offroad Addiction, GenRight’s great local dealer who are a very nice bunch of guys that really appreciate quality!

The show was held at the local fairgrounds, with booths set up inside and outside the venue. The building was comparable in size to the building for the Off-Road Expo in Pomona where GenRight exhibited earlier this month, but with a dirt floor like at Easter Jeep Safari in Moab.

The show catered to all types of off-road with Mud trucks, Sand cars, SXS's, desert runners, and Jeeps on display. There was an entire area called the "racers lounge" for Ultra4 Off Road race vehicles that was populated mostly by local racers.

The flow of people was steady and Tony got to talk to a lot of people, some of whom drove several hours to catch up meet or catch up with him, and see the Terremoto up close.

Tony is flying back tomorrow while Jami is already on the road hauling the Terremoto back to California, which should take until Wednesday. Never ones for letting grass grow under their feet, the Pellegrino clan, including son Jordan, departs early Thursday to race in the Ultra4 Nationals in Reno this weekend.
