    Light and Strong

I installed these corners 3 years ago and can say what an incredible difference aluminum armor makes. The way my jeep feels on the trail now is night and day difference between my last jeep with all steel armor! I even dropped the entire weight of the jeep on the corner and it barely galled the aluminum. Aluminum for the win. Thanks Tony and GenRight!

Best way to make your own wheel opening

Posted by John C. on Mar 5th 2020

First, the blanks are a MUST have for anyone who is doing a stretch on their LJ. This way you can set up the perfect wheel opening for your setup. You can also make the cut the way that you want to whether that be round or angled to match flares. Cutting them is super easy with a good jig saw and good blades. Make sure to tape off the cut so that you don't gouge the aluminum at all. That bring s up the next point... the light weight of the aluminum! My old armor was steel and was super heavy to take off by myself. These are so light I could handle them with no issues. My only word of advice... the directions state to install these BEFORE you install the rockers, and that is incorrect. You should definitely install the rockers before the armor so you can butt them together behind the door.
