GenRight Billet twisted pitman arm

P/N:
STK-2550

This is the new and innovative GenRight Billet Twisted Pitman Arm that allows for 3.5" more up travel.

This arm was designed as part of our new low ride height TRACER Suspension system for the Jeep LJ.

It corrects the angle issues inherent in steering set ups (especially on long travel suspension systems using heims).

This is a perfect compliment to any long travel suspension and is designed to be used with hi-steer type arms on Dana 60's, 44's or 30's.

This Heavy Duty arm is machined from 4340 CrMoly and heat Treated for the ultimate in durability.

Got a hydraulic ram assist? It will work with that too.

Features:

  • "Twisted" shape utilizes the full range of motion in a heim rod end.
  • CNC Machined from 4340 CrMoly.
  • Heat Treated for maximum strength.
  • Tapered splines fit factory Jeep steering box sector shaft.
  • 5-1/2" center to center (same as stock TJ or LJ).
  • 5/8" bore for the drag link bolt.
  • Keeps steering box in the original factory location.
  • 100% Made in U.S.A.!

Why Heim rod ends? We prefer the heims over the standard or heavy duty "tapered style" tie rod ends because, over the years we have seen the taper of the tie rod end SPLIT too many steel knuckles! This is the exact same steering set up we have used on our GenRight rigs for years, and it works great!

Important Notes:

  • Designed to work with elevated GenRight frame side trac bar mount(s) for ideal geometry.
  • Designed to work with Saginaw type steering boxes (common in aftermarket ram assist).
  • Requires a small part of the steering box casting (non essential tooling tab) be trimmed off.
  • Once installed, YOU MUST must cycle the front suspension AND steering to make sure the hi-misalignment heims do not exceed their range of motion which would damage the steering components!
  • Requires a 7/8" shank x 3/4" bore heim with hi-misalignment spacers that reduce to a 5/8" bore (sold separately).
  • Requires a 1" body lift or a special shortened radiator to clear the raised steering.
  • You may need to cut or grind off part of the casting on the steering box to get the full range of motion with this product.
