This is the new Aluminum Tailgate Armor from GenRight Off Road for the Jeep 1997 - 2006 TJ or LJ.
It is designed to cover your factory swing out tailgate and match the thickness of your corner guards.
Sold as a "cover", it has cut outs for the factory key hole and door latch.

If you plan to run the factory flapper vent in the rear door, you will need to cut an opening in this panel.

This plate mounts under the tail gate hinges, which spaces it flush with our 3/16" thick corner guards.
