GenRight Jeep TJ floor plate assembly

Jeep YJ

This is the GenRight Off Road rear floor access plate/mount for the Jeep Wrangler TJ, Jeep YJ or Jeep CJ-7 (all models 1976 to 2006).

It allows you access to the top of the fuel tank (pump, electrical, hoses, vents, etc) without dropping the entire fuel tank assembly!

Simply remove the cover plate and you have full access to the top of the fuel pump module (fuel lines and electrical connections!).

The outside frame is made of heavy duty 3/16" laser cut and formed steel.

It drops into the rear cargo area floor (after cutting a hole), which makes it level with the top of the ribs in the rear floor section.

Then a 1/8" thick aluminum cover plate screws down with stainless steel button head allen bolts, as pictured.

Works with factory or after market fuel tanks.

Includes necessary mounting hardware.

The base plate (frame) is secured in place with any bonding type silicone adhesive and pop rivets.

Perfect for LS and other V8 conversions too!

Installation is fairly simple: just mark where to cut, drill a 3/8" hole in each corner and cut the floor using a jig saw with metal cutting blade.

If you have a Jeep LJ Unlimited, please see part number GST-5060.

    Fuel Pump Access Panel

After 3 pump replacements within a year, I wanted easier access to the fuel pump. This kit from GenRight is easy to install and works perfectly. Excellent quality, great instructions, and would recommend to anyone needing quick access to the pump. Would buy again.

    Install Review

This access plate is so well engineered and constructed. The final product looks like it was installed as original equipment. Thank you for the quick shipping and professional product, I would recommend this to anybody wanting a good alternate for removing their fuel tank.

Great Product, Needed longer reach rivets

Posted by Josh M on Sep 14th 2023

As always well made, nice color instructions. However it leaves a bit of a grey area when placing the panel and where to cut. Keep in mind when keeping the seat belt bolt on a YJ, and the lip where the body floor overlaps near the tailgate. I have a rhino lined interior, and placed the cutout near that lip. Nothing a quick trip to ACE for longer reach rivets couldn't solve. Otherwise, still quality you'd expect.

Great idea for fuel pump access. My only suggestion would be to offer instructions on location to make the cuts.

I like this panel and it’s aluminum cover! It came with good instructions ,mounting rivets , and cover screws. I only wish they would offer power coating !

Did the job but needed some massaging

So overall the kit is solid. Not sure what their process is but the holes in the aluminum cover did not at all line up with the holes in the frame. Had to drill it out to fit. Also at this price, id expect a gasket to go between the cover and the frame. Also a option to powdercoat would have been nice. Ill probably still recommend it but just be warned its not as effortless an install as it probably should be
