This is the GenRight Off Road Ultra4 4400 Unlimited Class chassis. It is identical to the race proven Nexus 4485 Ultra4 race car driven by our founder Tony Pellegrino.
It was designed entirely in SolidWorks where we combined all our years of racing King of the Hammers into one awesome chassis with a center of gravity that was 12" lower than our previous chassis! At only 48" wide it slips through the rock canyons like they aren't even there!
Since it is 100% designed in CAD, all the tubes are laser cut and mandrel bent from 2.0" diameter 4130 CrMo tubing.
Then the entire thing is then welded together on a perfectly flat fixture table at GenRight Motorsports.
This chassis was designed to be all business! Properly outfitted it can run 130 MPH across the desert and then shift into low range and dominate the toughest rock trails at the Hammers. This new design is much easier to service all the vital areas of the car.
It fits a High Performance Chevy LS engine (std or tall block) mated to a TH400 or 4L80 transmission and an Atlas transfer case. Rear radiator and the engine air intake is in the interior. It fits 40" tires on Currie Rock Jock 70 full float axles. There are 3.5" bypass shocks in the front and 4.0" in the rear on custom built trailing arms that allow this car to soak up the big hits in the desert!
It can hold up to a 60 gallon fuel cell and includes an engine skid. All brackets and mounts are also CrMo. Light weight aluminum interior (firewall in pictures) and body panels are also available.
Assembled race car weight is 4500 to 5000lbs (depending on options and spare parts on board).
Initial production was 3 chassis, but we can always make more!
