This is the GenRight Off Road rear floor access plate/mount for the Jeep Wrangler TJ, Jeep YJ or Jeep CJ-7 (all models 1976 to 2006).
It allows you access to the top of the fuel tank (pump, electrical, hoses, vents, etc) without dropping the entire fuel tank assembly!
Simply remove the cover plate and you have full access to the top of the fuel pump module (fuel lines and electrical connections!).
The outside frame is made of heavy duty 3/16" laser cut and formed steel.
It drops into the rear cargo area floor (after cutting a hole), which makes it level with the top of the ribs in the rear floor section.
Then a 1/8" thick aluminum cover plate screws down with stainless steel button head allen bolts, as pictured.
Works with factory or after market fuel tanks.
Includes necessary mounting hardware.
The base plate (frame) is secured in place with any bonding type silicone adhesive and pop rivets.
Perfect for LS and other V8 conversions too!
Installation is fairly simple: just mark where to cut, drill a 3/8" hole in each corner and cut the floor using a jig saw with metal cutting blade.

Good Quality
Pay close attention when measuring. The instructions say “about an inch” from the rear door. If you go too far forward the flange will capture the rear seatbelt bracket. Also the given dimensions for the hole to be cut are more than required for the flanged piece to fit and do not leave much material for the rivets to grab. Triple check before you commit. Also take the time to drop the tank and clear the rear brake light wires.

Access plate
Again, packaged very well to ensure no damage. I haven't installed just yet because I have a 3 inch body lift and could install the tank without issue. Will be installing later on. Highly recommend this product so you do not have to drop the tank to change fuel pump.

Good with some issues
Ok so if you are installing this in a YJ, do not go by the paper instructions. They'll cause you to mount this too far back and location will be wrong. Watch Tony's video on youtube where he installs this in a YJ and it shows that it needs moved forward a couple more inches to clear the rear sheet metal crossmember that is under the tub. This will require some level of modification to the bracket and most likely the aluminum plate as well since it will be mounted up where the rear seatbelt bolt location is. Second issue is that the included rivets are way too short. The included ones only have a grip range of 1/4", but that's not going to cut it and you need to pick up rivets that have a 1/2" grip range. Luckily my local small hardware store had some Channel Lock brand rivets in stock that worked, but neither Lowe's nor Tractor Supply had a 1/8" diameter rivet in a 1/2" grip range.

After 3 pump replacements within a year, I wanted easier access to the fuel pump. This kit from GenRight is easy to install and works perfectly. Excellent quality, great instructions, and would recommend to anyone needing quick access to the pump. Would buy again.
